The musical tribute Eagles - Taking It Easy opens at The Heritage Theatre on October 11. A must for all Eagles fans. At last a Heritage tribute to one of the greatest bands of all times. Expect all the old favourites like, Lying Eyes, Desperado, Love Will Keep Us Alive, and Hotel California, as well a some from their latest albums, like How Long and I dreamed There Was No War.
The show covers the musical meteoric rise to fame of the Eagles band, during the early 70’s and 80’s and includes numbers such as Hotel California, Tequila Sunrise, Lyin’ Eyes, Get Over It and Heartache Tonight”.
Featuring a seven-piece band the show is the closest thing to going to a real Eagles concert. Expect also to hear the Take It To The Limit, One Of These Nights, Life In Te Fast Lane, Love Will Keep Us Alive and The Long Run, as well as one or two songs from their latest album, Long Road Out Of Eden.
This music offering is directed by Dawn Selby and in true Eagles style, features four front line guitars. The musicians are: 'The Reals': Barry Thomson (vocals & guitar), Dawn Selby (vocals & keys), Mali Sewell (vocals & drums) & Jason Andrew (vocals & bass). Also featuring: Shaun Dragt (guitar), Andy Turrell (guitar) and Riaan Jacobsz (vocals & guitar).
